Google turned evil by censoring emails and disregarding HashCash stamps
Why has Gmail blocked my messages?
shows that somehow the donate@osmfoundation.org email address uses Google for email, and then Google blocks my email even though I have stamped it with Pennypost with the HashCash algorithm difficulty 21!
As a response I’m setting it back to much lower, 19(17 is minimum, think mobile devices whose cpu cycles are limited). I’m not gonna lose cpu cycles just because the employees of Google are incompetent. Also Google’s gotten way too much power, so I’m glad I’m using less of their services. Their Google + is a big brother joke.
I was told Google did do HashCash! Now I’m convinced they ignore it or their false-positives spam filters gets prioritized first before their HashCash validator jumps in.
Poor engineering, really bad work done here. You’re not gonna do anything about it. OSM Foundation and Humble Bundle inc. who use it better do, cause otherwise it discredits them as well!

The Hash Cash technology is used in Bitcoin. You don’t need to be a cryptographer to understand Hash Cash. It is enough that you understand checksums. SHA-1 has been used in Bittorrent for years. If you understand how Bittorrent works then you can understand checksums and therefore HashCash and therefore(!!!) how Bitcoin transactions are agreed upon on the P2P network and how new Bitcoins come into circulation.
This knowledge is enough for now. I’ll let you explore Hash Cash. You may also in the process understand the history behind Hash Cash why it was created and why it is important as a technology in Bitcoin.
